The First JTC1 Workshop on Advances in Landslide Understanding is taking place in Barcelona from 24th to 26th May 2017. This event aims at promoting discussion on several aspects of Landslide Understanding and is hosted by the Joint Technical Committee on Natural Slopes and Landslides (JTC1) of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, the International Society for Rock Mechanics and the International Association for Engineering Geology.

We will be presenting how InSAR technology can help in the management of landslide impacts by monitoring the ground displacement in affected areas. Results of a recent project will be discussed describing the use of InSAR to monitor the slopes surrounding a water reservoir in Spain for the period 2003-2016.
